Located just southeast of where the Poudre River runs under Overland Trail, Poudre Overlook is a small enclave of modern, craftsman style homes built by PLS Homes between 2004 and 2008. These well appointed homes sit on ¼ acre lots. Although a few ranches were built, most are 2 story but all have 3 car garages. Poudre Overlook is an excellent jumping off point for outdoor excursions near and far. Ride your bike to Lions Park, hop on the Poudre River Trail and you can ride all the way to Old Town and beyond. Over the next few years the Poudre Trail will extend past I-25, all the way to Greeley for more than 30 miles of hiking and biking trail along the Poudre River. The Poudre Overlook neighborhood also provides easy access to the popular Foothills trail, the CSU Equine Center, Hughes Stadium, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, Lory State Park and a myriad of City of Fort Collins Open Spaces. Ready to get out of town and into the mountains? Since the Poudre Overlook neighborhood is on the Northwest edge of town you’re just 12 minutes to the mouth of the Poudre Canyon and Roosevelt National Forest where you can go get lost in over 108,000 acres of wilderness.

A unique master planned community called Bucking Horse is being proposed for a 160 acre tract near the Sidehill neighborhood (northeast of Drake Road and Timberline Road). In addition to single family housing and townhomes, developer Gino Campana of Bellisimo, Inc. has proposed an artisan village of “healthy” retailers called Jessup Farm with a winery, farmer’s market, cheesery, bakery, coffee roastery, microbrewery, farm-to-fork restaurant, bicycle shop, and yoga studio. Campana plans to rehabilitate the 128-year-old Johnson Farm and Jessup Farm buildings currently located on the tract, maintaining their historical charm as an important aspect of the development.  The proposed project will also provide a variety of public community spaces including a horse arena, community gardens, green spaces and trails throughout the development. The overall aim for the project is to promote community living and a healthy lifestyle for residents and visitors alike.
